The scil vCell 5 has the footprint of an A4 sheet of paper - probably the smallest in its class in the world. Combined laser and impedance measurement techniques
The scil vCell 5 provides accurate results using a combined measuring process with both impedance and laser. The laser based flow cytometry with forward scattered light detection and volumetric impedance measuring ensures the most accurate results every time.
Small sample volume
The scil vCell 5 requires 1 drop of blood for a complete measurement. The system aspirates less than 30μL of whole blood, but actually uses only 2 x 1μL - the smallest sample volume ever processed by a hematology analyzer. The space-saving scil vCell 5 features a 10-inch high-resolution touchscreen display that uses the same controls as your smartphone. "Swipe and tap" instead of "press and press" is therefore the motto and allows you a completely new interaction with your scil vCell 5.
